Summary

The Information Technology Support position must have knowledge of principles and methods for the integration of information systems components, programming, analysis techniques, system software, and hardware operating characteristics and configurations to serve as a system administrator. 

This is considered a “key position” per the contract and therefore requires government approval prior to an offer being presented by the contractor to the potential new hire. 


Skills and Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Knowledge of U.S. Army maintenance, supply, and transportation processes a plus.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • An A+ Certification is not required, but a plus.
  • Analyze, modify and implement modifications to computer programs.
  • Open, track and manage workorders working with the installation automation network.
  • Evaluate processing impact and alternatives, and develop recovery plans for system failure situations to include “quick fixes”.
  • Manage an assigned automation architecture.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Maintain records, reporting on use of materials, monitoring customer requests.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Computer Access Card.
  • Must be able to walk and stand on level and/or inclined surfaces for extended periods throughout the day
  • Must be able to crouch, crawl, grasp or handle objects, use finger dexterity, bend elbow/knee and reach above/below shoulders
  • Must be able to lift/push/pull minimum of 30 pounds
  • Must be able to work in a shop where the environment is drafty, noisy, and dirty
